CA Ballot Measures Forum w/ Mona Field, LWV
Short Avenue Elementary School 12814 Maxella Ave, Los Angeles, CA, United StatesJoin us as Mona Field, Co-President of the Los Angeles League of Women Voters, helps us understand all 12 statewide measures (and some local propositions) on the November 3, 2020 ballot.
Mona will discuss the pros and cons of a diverse set of issues: property taxes, rent control, parolee voting, sentence changes for some crimes, approving or rejecting cash bail, funding for stem cell research, reinstituting affirmative action, allowing some 17-year-olds to vote, governing kidney dialysis clinics, special workplace rules for app-based companies like Uber and Lyft, and new consumer privacy rules.
Be sure to have handy your sample ballot, mail ballot, and other materials for reference.
Mona Field is a notable expert in the area of state and local politics. In addition to her role with the League, she is professor emeritus, political science at Glendale Community College and author of "California Government and Politics Today (15th Edition)."
